Motorized Recreation

Monroe Prairie ATV Club

Established in 1989, the Monroe Prairie ATV Club promotes fun and safe ATV/UTV riding while providing instruction and information so riders respect trail systems and other trail users. The club helps maintain the Monroe Recreation Area trail system and supports rider education, including ATV/UTV safety courses in spring and fall for DNR certification.

Rapid Angels Motorcycle Club

Formed in 1959, Rapid Angels Motorcycle Club brings together motorcycle enthusiasts who enjoy the recreation and competition of riding, racing, and hosting motorcycle events. The club is nationally chartered with the American Motorcycle Association and state chartered with District 16.

Winter Recreation

Rome Sno-Bandits

The Rome Sno-Bandits are dedicated to providing quality trails for recreational snowmobiling. Established in 1978, this volunteer group grooms and maintains more than 35 miles of snowmobile trails in the Town of Rome.

The Town of Rome became a Snowmobile Friendly Community in 2020, and the Sno-Bandits have received multiple club honors, including Snowmobile Club of the Year from the Association of Wisconsin Snowmobile Clubs in 2021 and national and international club awards in 2022.

Pickleball Club

Pickleball play is available seasonally in Rome.

Summer Hours:

  • Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:00 a.m.

  • Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.

Summer Location: Lake Arrowhead Chalet courts
Participation Note: Players must be an Arrowhead member or the guest of a member.
Winter Hours: Play occurs in the Rome Town Hall, hours to be determined.

The Rome Running Club meets weekly for a 5K route around Rome Town Center, followed by beer and social time.

Shermalot Ski Team

The Shermalot Ski Team is the third longest continuous-running water ski show in Wisconsin. The team performs weekly at Lake Arrowhead Beach from Memorial Day to Labor Day and has earned six Wisconsin State Division II Championship titles.The organization is committed to family-focused entertainment, community service, and youth leadership advocacy.

Dog-Friendly Recreation

Room to Roam Dog Park

Room to Roam Dog Park is open year-round, 24/7, and includes picnic tables, benches, dog agility equipment, shelters, and plenty of open space for dogs to play and socialize. The park also hosts doggie play dates and other social events.
