Sand Valley is thrilled to host it's fourth annual pond hockey tournament, the Sand County Classic. Teams of 6 to 8 players will participate in a 4v4 round-robin tournament beginning Friday afternoon and culminating in championship games Sunday morning. The Sand County Classic stands out as an exceptional and unforgettable pond hockey adventure, truly unlike any other in the country. Register your team today!

Bring your best, lace up your skates, and be ready to play pond hockey in an unforgettable outdoor setting.

The cancellation policy states that any cancellations made within 14 days of the event date are subject to fees up to the full amount of the total event entry fee. The Sand County Classic is an outdoor event. By entering, you acknowledge that you will be playing on a natural, outdoor ice surface. and ice conditions are at the mercy of Mother Nature. Should the event be canceled due to inclement weather or unsafe ice conditions as determined by the tournament directors, all deposits will be returned at the discretion of Sand Valley’s management team.

  • Players must be 21 years of age or older on the day the tournament starts. The advanced division will be made up of players with ACHA/club hockey experience and above (juniors/NAHL/USHL, semi-pro, etc.)  The Beginner division will be made up of players with recreational, youth hockey, youth club, high school, and adult beginner hockey experience.

  • Players must be 30 years of age or older on the day the tournament starts. The advanced division will be made up of players with ACHA/club hockey experience and above (juniors/NAHL/USHL, semi-pro, etc.)  The Beginner division will be made up of players with recreational, youth hockey, youth club, high school, and adult beginner hockey experience.

  • Players must be 40 years of age or older on the day the tournament starts. The advanced division will be made up of players with ACHA/club hockey experience and above (juniors/NAHL/USHL, semi-pro, etc.)  The Beginner division will be made up of players with recreational, youth hockey, youth club, high school, and adult beginner hockey experience.
