This summer, we’re partnering with Visit Adams County to bring Drive-In Movie Nights to the field at Hoozels—think great movies, cold drinks, and warm nights under the stars.
Movies will start at dusk, with titles announced soon. Expect a lineup geared more toward a grown-up crowd—perfect for date nights, groups, or just an excuse to get out of the house.
Pull in with your vehicle or claim a spot up front with a lawn chair or blanket for a more laid-back viewing experience.
The patio bar will be open, serving up your favorite drinks, plus popcorn and movie snacks to keep things classic.
No tickets, no fuss—just show up, grab a drink, and enjoy the show.

Pioneer Fest @ Historic Point Basse
Historic Point Basse invites you to their biggest event of the season - our Pioneer Festival! There will be Hand Churned Ice Cream, Blacksmithing, Basket Weaving, Kids Games, Ladies' tea, a Civil War Military Display and so much more!!! Visit the many pioneers who can share their knowledge and skills from the past. From the fur traders of the 1700's to the Wakely family, who settled at Historic Point Basse in the 1800's, there is much to see and experience. Be sure to visit with Pellham's Battery - the Civil War Artillery Unit. They will be displaying their cannons and other military weapons along with a special Flag presentation. Ladies won't want to miss "Tea at Two" where we will be celebrating the Nation's 250th! Come see the progress of the restorations on the Wakely House and Saratoga Town Hall. Food and beverages are available.

Jeanne's Tale Trail GRAND OPENING
You may have seen it being built or the “Tin Man” figure that appeared at a few Farmers Markets last year…
The time has finally come to open Jeanne’s Tale Trail, a collaborative effort between the “Friends of the Library” and community members to create a storybook garden behind the Lester Public Library of Rome.

Genre: Blue-collar Country Rock 'n' Roller - From Outlaw Country to Southern Soul
Born in Arkansas, J Edwards spent most of his childhood traveling the states with his evangelist father and singing family. He grew up performing a variety of instruments, depending on what was needed at the nightly church services. After touring on his own within the Christian music industry, J Edwards found solace in playing the blues at small clubs and juke joints across the country.
A catalog of songs and a raspy singing voice were his tools in forging a long-term career as a singer-songwriter in Nashville. The new music scene shaped his genre into something between country-rock and blues; from ballads to rockers, his tunes evolved beyond his small town roots.
Always working on the next installment, J Edwards can be found in the studio, writing room or on tour.

Join us this summer for Gather by the Bandshell—a fun, family-friendly concert series filled with live music, great food, and community connection!
Held at the beautiful Rome Town Center Bandshell, each evening features live performances from talented artists along with local food vendors to enjoy. Bring your lawn chairs or blankets, relax, and soak in the summer atmosphere with friends, family, and neighbors.

Tri Norse Mini Mudder
Tri Norse Outdoor Park is hosting a family friendly event geared towards kids ages 4-15.
Participants can race or take it easy through our mud filled obstacle course that takes you up the giant 55m ski hill and throughout the woods.
The course is approximately 1 mile in length and proves challenging at times for some; but this is a FUN run, it isn't timed and kids can go back for more if they want to try some of their favorite obstacles again.
Parents and spectators are allowed to walk alongside or even have fun in the mud too!
Concessions will be available inside the chalet for purchase.
This year the course will be open for 2 days: August 15 &16 from 11 am - 4 pm.
Cost is $20 per participant. Spectating and parking are free!

Harvest Fair @ Historic Point Basse

Delight in the season’s bounty with tasty samples of delicious fall fare, featuring traditional harvest activities like apple cider pressing, corn shelling, making sauerkraut, and harvest produce sales. Foraging Class is offered during this event. You must sign up in advance.
Take a tour of the Wakely home, a beautifully preserved piece of history that will give you a glimpse into the lives of early settlers. Join in the fun by making your own pressed apple cider.
Step back in time and explore the many historic buildings at the event, each with their own unique demonstrations that will transport you to a bygone era. Marvel at the skill of the blacksmith as he expertly hammers away at glowing iron, or venture into the fur trade cabin and witness firsthand the frontier equipment used in the early days of exploration.
See how sauerkraut is made and visit the Columbia School to learn about the fascinating history of 1-room schoolhouses. With so much to see and do, this event is the perfect way to celebrate the magic of fall!

Monroe Prairie ATV/UTV Club: Bear & Coon Hunt
Bring your spotlight flashlight and join the fun as Monroe Prairie ATV club host. It’s an annual Baron coon hunt. Riders will run the woods through our trails, searching high low and in between for those pesky bandits. The more raccoons you find, the better chances of winning a prize!
Members are $10 each, non-members $15 each.
Optional bear tag is an additional five dollars each. Tags must be purchased prior to the hunt. Winning Hunter gets 50% of the bear tag pot.
Registration starts at 5:45 PM. First machines out at dusk, which will be approximately 7:15 PM. Last machine in at 10 PM.
Cash prizes will be 80% of the payout. 20% is for the benefit of Monroe Prairie ATV club

Historical Encampment @ Historic Point Basse

Travel back in time to experience the sights, sounds, and even the smells of 18th century life at a French outpost during the fur trade era. Witness skilled artisans demonstrating traditional crafts and trades that were essential for survival, from tanning hides to forging iron tools. Immerse yourself in the ambiance of the era as participants dressed in authentic reproductions of clothing worn by people from all walks of life in the 18th century. Be dazzled by the splendid and precise military drills of the French soldiers.
Take in the scents of the 18th century, from the sweet fragrances of kettles simmering over open fires to the pungent smell of wood smoke. Catch the whiff of molten lead, hot iron, and black powder mingling with the aroma of melting candle wax. Savor the flavors from another time as participants prepare traditional foods over an open fire, including parched wild rice with maple sugar, spiced apple cider, and roasted pumpkins filled with blueberries and cranberries. Get a taste of history as you experience life as it was lived centuries ago.

A lantern-lit, tour around the grounds and buildings of Historic Point Basse will give the visitor a chance to meet many of the former residents of Point Basse and citizens of the era. As you walk around the site, the Spirits will emerge from their surroundings to tell you about themselves and the time in which they lived.

Austin, Minnesota’s Jeff Reinartz is a singer/songwriter and a 30 year veteran of the Southern Minnesota music scene.
After enduring 22 years in the corporate grind he resigned and has been playing solo jobs throughout the southern Minnesota/Northern Iowa area for the past six years. He’s released a handful of singles, two EPs: "Can't Go Back" and “Dirty Little Grin,” and the LP “It’s Rough Out There,” all recorded at Zension Studio in Austin, MN. All can be found on your favorite streaming platform.
Jeff's songs are a colorful fusion of folk, rock and alt country, and he will sprinkle them in among an eclectic variety of cover songs ranging from Petty to Cash and Pearl Jam to Bread.

The Monroe Prairie ATV Club Trail Ambassadors will be hosting a WATVA (Wisconsin ATV/UTV Association) Welcome Center on the grounds of the Town of Rome Town Hall on Saturday, June 6, 2026.
Come learn more about WATVA and the Monroe Prairie ATV Club. Rule books, maps and memberships will be available at the Welcome Center for both WATVA and Monroe Prairie ATV Club.
If you are interested in becoming a Trail Ambassador, you can get more information at the Welcome Center as well.

High School Clay Target League Shoot @ WTA Homegrounds
The Wisconsin Trapshooting Association will be hosting the High School Clay Target League State Trapshoot Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7 at the WTA Homegrounds. We will have around 1200 student athletes competing, as well as fundraising in the clubhouse and many different vendors.
