Turkey Shoot Scramble

The annual Turkey Shoot Scramble is being held at the Lakes Golf Course on October 21st shotgun at 11am.

Following the scramble enjoy chili and camaraderie with your fellow golfers.

Much of the golf course is played in reverse and winning teams receive turkeys and three individual winners.

Rome Children's Halloween Party

Rome Children’s Halloween Party will be held at the Rome Town Hall from 5pm-7pm for children 11 and under.

Volunteers are needed to help run the games and decorate the hall and to help clean up.

Members of the Rome community can help by donating individually wrapped candy for the kids.

Donations of candy can be dropped off at the library or Town Hall by Monday Oct. 28th.

The Sherwood Lodge is having a Fisheree that raises money for the LSPOA Conservation/Fish Stocking Fund. Registration starts at 7:30am $15 for adults and $5 for children 12 years of age and under. $100 for the largest northern, bass and walleye. Door prizes will be given to all competitors at 4:00pm.

Please join us at our Riding clinic hosted by Rapid Angels and Dyracuse Recreational Park.

This clinic is geared for kids who are back yard riders that are looking to experience the track. Your child will be guided by our experienced Youth Leadership kids and adult mentors.

Youth Off Road Riders provides bikes, riding and protective gear to your child during the clinic however for this class we recommend your child have their own bike and bring it to the clinic as they will be more comfortable on it.

Class is $35.00 per child per clinic.

Central Sands Water Walk

Join the Central Wisconsin Nature Foundation for the 4th Central Sands Water Walk. The mission of this event is to raise awareness of the importance of preserving our water quality and helping people recognize that water is life.

A sunrise ceremony will take place at 6:15am on the Lake Arrowhead County Beach (15th Avenue). The approximately six-mile walk begins at 8:00AM. Following, all are invited to a traditional Native American Celebration in the Rome Town Hall around 11:00AM. Other activities will include a dinner of traditional Native American cuisine, drumming, singing, and dancing.

Join D.R.A.F.T. (DRAFT - Discover Rome Area Family Trails) in a group bike ride to B’s Tap House in Wisconsin Rapids.
Meet across from the Sacred Heart Parish in Nekoosa, WI (711 Prospect Avenue | Nekoosa, WI) at 2:00pm.
Bike up the Wisconsin River to B’s Tap House with the group. Enjoy a cold beverage and great company at B’s Tap House. Then, the group will return back to Nekoosa.

7 miles one-way / 14 miles round-trip.
