Earth Day Work Day with D.R.A.F.T.

Celebrating Earth Day by spending time outdoors on Saturday, April 27th with DRAFT (Discover Rome Area Family Trails). Meet at the Lake Arrowhead Chalet to assist with trail maintenance. Group will be working to clean up the Bentley Hills Trail with the D.R.A.F.T. crew.

Wear hiking shoes / comfortable clothing. Not necessary to bring equipment.

2 Pin Challenge at Lake Arrowhead

This golf outing is replacing Lake Arrowhead’s Grass Grinder Fundraiser Golf Outing. It is a four-person scramble at the Pines Golf Course. This event will feature two pins on each green. The foursome will decide which pin they play to.  $300 per team ($75 per person) and this entry fee includes golf, cart, range, door prizes, team and individual prizes, dinner and a chance at $10,000 for a Hole in One. ”Life of SGT Stubby - A true story of the U.S. Army's most highly decorated Canine Soldier”

Movie for all ages, especially children. A true story of courage and friendship in animated form of the life of SGT Stubby, U.S. Army's original and still most highly decorated canine soldier. From 1916 to 1926 he was the official mascot of the 102nd Infantry Regiment-WWI. Popcorn, soda and water will be available for a nominal fee. A great time for family entertainment at no charge.

CANDLELIGHT SNOWSHOE at TRI-NORSE WINTER PARK

Free event hosted in partnership by the Tri-Norse Ski Club and D.R.A.F.T. (Discover Rome Area Family Trails). Come out to the Tri-Norse Winter Park [ 1001 County Rd O | Town of Rome ] for a one-mile snowshoe hike illuminated with candles and the moonlight. Free hot chocolate, s’mores, hot soup, concessions and a warm roaring fire will follow at the Tri-Norse Warming Chalet.
