Christmas in Rome
12/10/2025 UPDATE
1) Due to the anticipated negative temperatures and "arctic windchill" on Saturday night, we will be cancelling the evening portion of Christmas in Rome in the Rome Town Center. The afternoon portion of the event will still run 3:00-5:00 PM at the Rome Town Hall.
2) We will still have the beer/gluhwein available at the Rome Town Hall during the event. Keep in mind that the event is free, but goodwill donations are ALWAYS appreciated and go towards the Nekoosa School District's efforts to help students have a happy holiday season.
3) We are extending the voting for our Christmas Light Displays in the Rome Town Center. Scan any of the QR codes around the Rome Town Center now through December 25th to vote for your favorite display.

Blue House Cakery: Cookie Decorating Class
Get into the holiday spirit with a festive Christmas Cookie Decorating experience! Learn to decorate beautiful sugar cookies with royal icing, while creating sweet memories that sparkle with Christmas cheer. Perfect for beginners or seasoned bakers alike - come enjoy the magic of the season, one cookie at a time!
Blue House Cakery owner Kelly Lawler will be teaching the basics of cookie decorating, while taking you through step by step instructions of decorating an assortment of cookies! Included with class purchase is a complimentary drink as well!
Each student will be provided with everything they need to decorate, as well as a box to take your cookies home in. No previous experience is necessary. Aprons and short sleeve shirts recommended!

Those under the age of 18 are welcome to attend, but must be accompanied by an adult, and all attendees must have their own ticket.

Sand County Classic Pond Hockey Tournament
Sand Valley is thrilled to host it's fourth annual pond hockey tournament, the Sand County Classic. Teams of 6 to 8 players will participate in a 4v4 round-robin tournament beginning Friday afternoon and culminating in championship games Sunday morning. The Sand County Classic stands out as an exceptional and unforgettable pond hockey adventure, truly unlike any other in the country. Register your team today!

The cancellation policy states that any cancellations made within 14 days of the event date are subject to fees up to the full amount of the total event entry fee. The Sand County Classic is an outdoor event. By entering, you acknowledge that you will be playing on a natural, outdoor ice surface. and ice conditions are at the mercy of Mother Nature. Should the event be canceled due to inclement weather or unsafe ice conditions as determined by the tournament directors, all deposits will be returned at the discretion of Sand Valley’s management team.

Each student will be provided with everything they need to decorate, as well as a box to take your cookies home in. No previous experience is necessary. Aprons and short sleeve shirts recommended!
*Please note you will not receive an actual “ticket” to the event. You should receive receipt for your purchase to your email, and if you have any questions please email me.
Those under the age of 18 are welcome to attend, but must be accompanied by an adult, and all attendees must have their own ticket.
Tickets are nonrefundable. If you find yourself in a position where you are unable to attend, please feel free to sell your ticket or gift it to a friend or family member, then notify me of the change.
If class needs to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, I will do my best to reschedule with the facility at a later date and time. If you are unable to attend that rescheduled date, your registration fee will be refunded.
All items are prepared in a home based kitchen that is not subject to licensing or inspection. Though precautions are always taken - products do have the potential for cross contamination with common allergens such as nuts, gluten, soy, dairy, and eggs.
