Up North Brewing Company is happy to present our first annual HAUNTED FOREST on our brand new Ale Trail.
Walking just under half a mile through a haunted forest along the Ale Trail, you will find yourself surrounded by towering trees draped in mist and flickering lanterns casting eerie shadows. Each bend reveals a new fright—ghostly figures lurking between branches, cackling witches stirring cauldrons, and glowing eyes watching from the dark. The trail weaves past pop-up haunted stations tucked into the woods, each offering spooky seasonal shots and chilling tales. The mix of creepy ambiance and Halloween-themed sips will make the forest feel like a living, breathing nightmare—in the best possible way.

Entrance fee: Adult 21+ $10, includes beer. below 21 $5 includes soda or hot chocolate

Migratory Bird Week w/Visit Rome, WI!

In celebration of Migratory Bird Day, Visit Rome is hosting a WEEKEND of fun and educational events for all ages! Events will run Friday, October 10 through Sunday, October 12, 2025 and ALL events are free to attend. Keep reading for more event details!

 

To start the weekend off on Friday, October 10, 2025 Audubon’s Ashly Steinke, a Wisconsin Grassland Ecologist for Audubon Great Lakes, will be leading a guided bird outing and presentation at Leola Marsh Wildlife Area from 10:00-11:00 am!

If you are interested in joining the Leola Marsh Guided Outing plan on meeting Ashly Steinke a little before 10:00. The guided walk and presentation will educate participants and on prairie chickens and grassland bird habitat. Bring your binoculars, some water, dress for the weather, and wear shoes for some walking.

Meet at the Lake Arrowhead Clubhouse on Saturday, October 11, 2025 with “Pose like a Bird” Yoga lead by Tarah Mancl from 10:00am – 11:00am! Move your body through an all-levels class - everyone is welcome to join! Meet at the Lake Arrowhead Clubhouse a little before 10:00am to set up your mat!

Be sure to stop at the table after class to grab information on this year’s World Migratory Bird campaign and learn how to best support our feathered friends!

Join us for BEERS & BIRDS on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Up North Brewing Company! There will be an exciting and educational presentation from one of REGI’s (Raptor Education Group Inc) Wildlife Educators along with 5-6 of their live Avian Ambassadors! The presentation will run from 1:00pm – 2:00pm.

Get up close and meet some raptors! It is to be determined which raptors will be visiting us but it could be anything from owls, to a hawk, to an eagle, and so on. This presentation is great for ALL ages.

Be sure to enjoy a “Beer for the Birds” at Up North Brewing before, during, and after the presentation!
