Eating Our Way Through Rome: Greenside Grille @ Lake Arrowhead

Inside the Lake Arrowhead clubhouse, Greenside Grille is the perfect place to meet and mingle after a round of golf on one of their two elite 18-hole courses. The Pines and Lakes courses have both garnered high praise from Golf Digest, receiving an impressive 4 1⁄2 stars in their "places to play" rankings. So, it stands to reason that the clubhouse - and the restaurant - would be worthy of high praise too.

Greenside Grille has an open and airy atmosphere which creates a welcoming ambiance that appeals to not just golfers, but visitors who come from miles around to enjoy lunch, dinner, or maybe just a cocktail or two shared with a friend or two.

But if you are gonna eat here, you better be hungry, because the menu will tantalize you with so many options that you may need to call in somebody to help you choose. From mouthwatering appetizers like Jalapeño Wisconsin Cheese Curds to the aptly named, "Heat Burger” – a delectable combination of ground chuck and short rib topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and as you may have guessed, jalapeños, and pepper jack cheese. So good!

Really hungry? Try the tender and juicy filet mignon. Or the panko crusted baked salmon, the creamy chicken tortellini Alfredo, or if you’re lucky enough to be here on a Friday, the breaded Bluegill dinner, to name a few of the amazing entrées typically not found at a clubhouse. But proudly offered here.

Getting back to golf, though. One of the restaurant's standout features is its expansive patio, which offers breathtaking views of the meticulously groomed course. Here, you become one with the surroundings as you take in the untamed beauty that frames the course off in the distance, while marveling at how they somehow made nature even more beautiful all around you.

So, golfer or not, you owe it to yourself to check out The Greenside Grille at Lake Arrowhead.

Greenside Grille is located in the clubhouse at Lake Arrowhead at 1196 Apache Lane in Rome, Wisconsin and is open to the public.
